Annual Events
- Filipino Week: In honor of
Filipino-American History Month in October, we have various workshops and
booth displays to educate the student body about the Philippines.
- Goophi Games: The morning of
Isang Mahal, we invite other schools to participate in fun games to get to
know other FSAs (Filipino Student Associations) around the state.
- Isang Mahal: "One Love" Talent
Show - also in October to celebrate Filipino-American History Month, we
hold a talent show every year to display the diverse groups in the Texas
A&M student body, while educating the audience through dialogue, trivia,
and a cultural exhibition during the show.
- International Week: Usually
sometime in late February. Cultural organizations @ Texas A&M have
displays, a food buffet, cultural fashion show and exhibition to share with
the student body. We all compete in areas to be recognized for our booth
uniqueness, cultural showcase and overall display.
- GoodPhil: THE biggest FSA
gathering in Texas. Most universities with an FSA are welcome to join the
Goodphil Games. It's like the uber-intermurals, where we compete in dance
(spirit/cultural/modern (hip-hop) and sports. Each year, it is hosted at
one of 5 universities. Texas A&M is set to host in 2010.
- Other Activities: like other
cultural performance and Big Event.
