1892 was the year Andres Bonifacio sought independece from Spain by establishing a secret society of freemasons named Katipunan.
1896 was when the Philippine Revolution started, and was led by Andres Bonifacio and the Katipunan.
1898 began the Spansh-American war, fought in Cuba.
June 12, 1898 marks the Philippine Independence as declared by Aguinaldo.
After the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1892, U.S. still did not recognize the First Philippine Republic and so broke the Philippine-American War. =(
July 4, 1946, the Philippines attained its independence!
